Eric Idle - The Rutland Isles

Eric Idle

The Eric idol (Eric Idle and March 29, 1943-) is The Comedians of Britain. It was a member of Monty Python of the comedy group, and it often disguised oneself as a woman and the cocksucker was performed in the sketch.

It was born in South Shields in Britain in 1943. It dies at two years old Eric though Eric's father was a serviceman of a British air force. Eric is entrusted by the relative etc. , and lives for 12 years from 7 years old to college administration at the school of all dormitory system afterwards. Eric who paves it doesn't severely have a too good impression in the school in case of the gulag.

It enters the Cambridge university, and English literature is majored in. It entered comedy circle "Cambridge foot rights" of the Cambridge university, and it served to the representative back. After it graduates from the university, it comes to do the work of the radio and TV through the lower layer in the cabaret. It rises in arms back Monty Python. The Rutland Isles Reviews from Amazon.com

Very funny!, June 28, 2003

I bought this album a few months ago, and I must say it is one you can listen to over, and over and over again without any of the humor of the jokes wearing off. For all those tried-and-true Monty Python fans out there, Eric Idle delivers a lot of the Python-influenced humor that he brought to the movies and TV show of Monty Python, and I'm sure you'll agree that Pythonic humor is one of the best kinds of comedy there is. It's not the funniest album in the world, (that accolade would have to go to Robin Williams Live 2002) but it is sure to please just the same. A must-have for all Monty Python fans.

This review is from: The Rutland Isles (Audio CD)

Those seven words must have crossed my mind at least a dozen times while playing this disc for the first time. But the mantra failed to generate any aural nirvana: this is a bad disc.

To do the compare-and-contrast thing: compared to the Python CDs, it is extremely bad. Compared to Idle's contributions on the Python CDs, it is slightly less than extremely bad. Compared liberally to Idle's various work, from 'The Rutles' to 'Road to Mars' to 'Pass the Butler', it is no longer extremely bad but is still quite bad. On the whole, then, I'd say it's bad.

Idle hands are indeed the devil's work here.
